For high-aluminum refractory bricks, if the construction is good, first of all, the mud material should be well matched. The upper limit of the coarse particles can be reduced to 2-1 mm-0.1 mm, and the amount of the intermediate particles added is preferably 10-20%; the amount of fine powder of <0.1 mm should be controlled at 40-50%.
Production practice shows that appropriately increasing the size and number of coarse particles can increase the bulk density of high alumina refractory bricks and is easy to form. When firing, the secondary mullite around the material has a weak chemical reaction and is easy to sinter. However, there is a certain limit to the size of the magnified particles. If it is enlarged to 4-5 mm, it is easy to cause the phenomenon of missing corners, and the uniformity of the cut structure is also affected. Therefore, the maximum particle size is preferably 3 mm.
